Four cats in country house in Norfolk who need feeding and lots of love
We are a retired couple who have two sons one at university and one working abroad as a childminder. I was a scientist working in the NHS and my husband was an insurance broker in the City of London. We enjoy keeping fit by walking skiing, Tai Chi swimming etc and going to the theatre, cinema and art galleries. We have not had house sitters before as we have relied on good neighbours to do this. However our eldest cat now has digestive problems and requires twice daily medication in her food and may need taking to the vet in emergencies.
Our Home & Location
We live in a large detached house set well off the road in a small village near Wroxham. It has a large garden. There is one upstairs bedroom ensuite, Two bedrooms downstairs en suite, plus a separate shower room. There is also a large lounge with log fire, dining room kitchen and conservatory. The nearest transport links are in Wroxham where there are buses to the Broads and Norwich and a train to Norwich (12 minutes) and the coast at Sheringham. Wroxham also has a wide range of shops and cafes , a Roys department store and supermarket, and a library. Parking is free.
We are minutes away from the lovely Norfolk Broads with sailing canoeing and country walks. The North Norfolk coast is 20 minutes away and is famous for bird watching and has many up market cafes and restaurants. The market town of Holt is 45 minutes and old fashioned seaside resorts of Cromer and Sheringham and Wells about 30-45 minutes. A cleaner comes in twice a week for 2 hours
Responsibilities & Pets
Our cats require feeding twice a day and the eldest one, Gollie requires twice daily medication in her food and also might need taking to the vet if she suffers a bout of her digestive problems. They are all cats who go outside and have a catflap. However Gollie may need to stay in with a litter tray if she is unwell or the weather is very cold. There would also be plant pots in the garden and greenhouse plants that would need watering.
