House sit in South Bristol
Hi, we live near the Ashton Gate football stadium in Bristol with our baby girl and two lovely rescue greyhounds, Bill and Shoes. They are generally very lazy couch potato dogs, particularly the female dog Shoes who only likes to go out for 1 walk in the morning. Bill ideally needs two walks and is a bit more active around the house. As they are rescue dogs they do come with a few special needs relating to anxiety. Shoes is very timid but gentle and loving, she is very confidant in the house but on walks is constantly on guard. She is afraid of crowds, noisy children, footballs or any ball games really. She reacts by trying to run off and must be kept on the lead at all times. Bill is also anxious on walks but is mostly afraid of other dogs and can display fear aggression when he meets other dogs particularly large breeds. He also still has a very honed chase instinct so will react to cats, squirrels, foxes etc. He is muzzled and kept on a lead for walks. On the upside, they only require short walks, early in the morning works best. We have found that taking them to a petsitter's home when we go away is really stressful for them and I think having someone look after them at home would suit them much better. So, we are looking for someone with a kind, gentle and understanding nature that could take good care of our dogs on occasion and also enjoy living in our house which is really close to North street and also Ashton Court.
Our Home & Location
Very close (5 min walk) to popular North street with its Bars, restaurants, theatre and local amenities.
15 min walk to the beautiful Ashton Court Estate.
Responsibilities & Pets
Walking the dogs, once a day for Shoes, twice a day of Bill. Feeding the dogs twice a day. Spending some time with the dogs in the house or the garden during the day and sleeping overnight in the house. If it is particularly warm or dry it would also be nice to have our flower baskets watered but this is not essential.
