House Sitter needed for 1 dog and 1 cat
My partner and I live in the countryside, in a village called Burghfield Common, with our two children (Isla and Freya, 4 and 1), 1 labrador retriever puppy (8 months old) and 3 legged bengal cat (8 years old).
I am a stay at home mum, my daughters and pets keep me fully occupied. I am a previously trained Nanny and have taught Early Years. My partner is a self-employed Roofer....
My mum recommended trusted house sitters to us as my puppy gets a little anxious when left at places he doesn't know well, we haven't had a sitter before so this is all new to us but we look forward to our fur babies being left in capable and loving hands. + More info
Our Home & Location
We live in a 4 bedroom detached house in a cul-de-sac, our family home is very much that, a family home, you will see from the pictures that it is obvious that young children are present. Meaning that children would be very welcome in our home.
We live in a village called Burghfield Common in West Berkshire....
There are lots of local amenities including a local fruit/veg shop, bakery and pet shop which is a 5 minute walk away. There are also village stores, a chemist, post office, parks and a local leisure centre with a swimming pool. There are also lots of woodland walks and bridle paths to take Zuma on. There are numerous country pubs within a few miles drive, one of which is very dog friendly (Fox and Hounds) There is very good access to the nearby towns of Reading, Newbury and Basingstoke, the local train station is in Mortimer which can be accessed by bus or driven too. The bus stop is about a 2 minute walk away. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
We're looking for someone who will keep the pets company, look after them, give them lots of fuss (they love a bit of fuss) and to take Zuma on nice walks. Zuma needs to be taken out twice a day for a minimum of 30 minutes each walk. As a stay at home mum the pets are used to company throughout the day. Zuma can be left for a maximum of 4 hours, no more or he will get a bit stroppy.
We have a cleaner who comes on a Thursday morning....
They are both great with children, being used to both an 18 month old and 4.5 year old.
Loki had his leg amputated a year ago, it doesn't make him any less able apart from jumping requires a bit more of an effort. He is a very loving cat and loves attention. He is a house cat so uses a litter tray which will need to be cleared out once or twice daily. + More info
