Walk along the Great Ouse Valley Way with Rufus
Rufus is looking for someone to care for him from midday Thursday 25th October to Monday 29th October, mid afternoon, ideally. Rufus doesn’t like to travel and hates kennels too, so it would be good to find someone to care for him at home instead. We live in a semi rural part of Cambridgeshire, near to the towns of St Neots and St Ives. We would like to find sitters who enjoy walking and are looking for some quiet relaxation in attractive surroundings.
Our Home & Location
We have a very comfortable home and large garden. You will have a spacious bedroom with ensuite overlooking the garden. We also have a lovely modern kitchen and a cosy wood burner in the living room to curl up in front of. Our house is at the end of a shared drive with plenty of parking space. Located in a village with local shop, hairdresser and excellent pub/restaurant. There are plenty of places to walk along the river Great Ouse, around nature reserves or across the fields. Cambridge is nearby too and well worth a visit. Rufus can be safely left for around four hours at a time.
Responsibilities & Pets
The main requirement is to care for Rufus, who would enjoy showing you his favourite walks along parts of the Ouse Valley Way and local nature reserves. He needs a main walk of an hour or so, and either a run around the garden or a second shorter walk in the afternoon. He will happily jump in the back of the car if you want to travel to walks slightly further away. There are plenty within a five mile radius. Other than that it is just a matter of keeping the house in good order and notifying us if there is a problem. Please note that this is a village location so a car is essential.
