Pet and House Sitter to live in while we're away
Mature Couple who prefer their pets to be looked after in their own home so they are happy while we're away. They all need lots of affection and the dogs like to go out 2/3 times a day - both are very lively. They sleep with us but this isn't compulsory!! Well appointed house in a pleasant part on the way out of Kendal.
Our Home & Location
We live in an end terrace Victorian property with a decent sized Yard (a lot of properties have yards rather than actual grassed gardens} with plants in pots, seating and a good sized pond. We also have a two person hot tub available all year round.
Parking is with a permit on the road....
If you want to see around the area for further afield a car is handy but it can be done easily by bus - up to Keswick or train to Windermere or down to Lancaster. You can walk into Kendal town centre in 10-15 mins for great day to day shopping and there are some lovely private retailers.
There is access up to Kendal Castle for dog-walking without crossing a main road.
Good local restaurants, arts and museums.
WiFi available. Double bedroom. Bathroom with TV. Well appointed property. Off road parking. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Responsible for feeding and walking dogs, feeding cat and keeping an eye on the pondfish. Staying in the house full time but by all means pop out for a couple of hours when you like.
Looking after general welfare of animals and property....
The "girls" are happy to be left while you are out and about as long as they have had a reasonable run, they'll have a nap and be ready to welcome you back.
They currently sleep with us but that is entirely down to you, they can be downstairs - will probably protest for a short while,
Fed twice a day.
A walk first thing, usually before breakfast, another mid morning or afternoon, then a bed time (10pm) once round the block. This is all flexible. Coco will stay close, with new people best on the lead to the Canal Path on route to the Castle walk, Lottie is a bird/bunny chase so better on extending lead to be sure the first few times then can go off with Coco on the canal path and round the castle. Both are good to call. Both are spayed.
Mango the cat is very independent, likes to come and go via the bathroom. Has dry food available all the time, wet food when she's being sociable in the kitchen. + More info
