Dog and house sitter needed for barn conversion in Yorkshire Dales National Park
Hi, We're Sue and Fitz and we have the pleasure of owning four great dogs. We only had two, originally (Barney & Lucy) but elderly parents had dogs who needed a home, and now we have Bella & Oscar, too.
Fitz works in I.T telecoms and I run a holiday cottage.
Our Home & Location
Our home is in the beautiful little village of Great Asby, part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. We're 5 miles from Appleby in Westmorland, Cumbria and you'll need your own transport as we have no public transport. We're halfway between Penrith and Kendal. Our village pub (The Three Greyhounds) is very friendly and welcomes all new comers. There's some great walks locally, if that's your thing and of course we have the Lake District on our doorstep.
The house itself is a five bedroom 'barn conversion' set in an elevated position on the edge of the village; so the views are amazing! I'm sure you'll love it as much as we do.
Responsibilities & Pets
Twice daily walks for at least two of the dogs (Barney & Oscar). They don't have to be great hikes, but the more you walk them the better. Lucy is 14, so doesn't require so many walks anymore. She sleeps most of the time, but enjoys a walk into the village and back. Bella has weak hips, so she doesn't require too many walks either. We feed them three times a day with dried food and they enjoy their treats too.
