Lily & Rosie
We live in Halstead, Essex in a 3 Bedroom townhouse, we have two mini Dachshunds, black & tan called Lily & Rosie, they are currently 1 year old, fully house trained and they are our world! They are very loving and each have their funny different ways and characters, we have never left them before and are anxious to find the right couple to look after them, initially for a long weekend to build our confidence in leaving them, in the hope that we could book a longer holiday in 2019.
I am a freelance Bid Writer and work from home, so 'our girls' are not left for long periods of time, my husband, Marc, works full time as an Estate Ranger for a local housing company....
We love our holidays but have only had UK holidays with our girls, but would love the confidence to travel a little further in 2019.
If you are interested in having lots of cuddles from our Lily & Rosie, please get in touch.

Responsibilities & Pets
She is the timid one, she is frightened of any strange noises, she hates the hoover and will run away from it until it is put away, can you call her to re-assure her when you have put the hoover away. She likes lots of cuddles and re-assurance.
She is the braver of the two and barks at any noise, she gets very excited greeting anyone and will jump up at you barking, she wants to kiss you and bark at the same time!...
As a breed, they have long backs and you must be careful that they do not jump off anything high.
They are not allowed on the furniture or upstairs, so the stair gates should be closed at all times.
They are typical dachshunds, they hate the rain, so can be a bit of a 'battle of wills' to get them to go for a wee in the garden!
Rubbish collections are on a Tuesday morning, alternate weeks for re-cycling and grey bin.
We will leave milk and basics in the fridge and you can use anything in the cupboards and freezer.
When you go out put a couple of their rubber toys in the crate, get a few bits of kibble in each hand, from their pot on the kitchen unit and say, ‘in your bed’, they will run to their bed, give them the kibble and shut the door, don’t make a fuss of them and just go out. They are not left for any longer than 4 hours, max.
If you are eating fruit you can give you them a small piece as they love things like strawberry’s, bananas, apple, apricots, actually most fruits with the exception of sultanas.
They like scrambled eggs, I will leave some eggs in the fridge, if you have time to make them, I make them with 3 eggs and some milk and divide when cooked into their bowls, they will know if you are cooking them that they are for them and will pester you for them before they are cool enough to eat, I put some cold water in the sink and put their bowl in to cool down quicker. + More info
