6 bed house and 2 friendly dogs
We are a family of 5 although our eldest daughter is now at university so only home in the holidays. We run our own catering business, and I run the admin side from home, so our dogs are used to plenty of company and love.
We love keeping busy; travelling, working, playing sports, helping others and of course dog walking!...
Our home is large and comfortable with a big garden. We have Sky TV and Netflix.
There are 3 bathrooms, 6 bedrooms, a mini gym and plenty of off street parking.
We are located on the edge of a village and 5/10 minutes drive to towns with usual facilities and lots of restaurants and a cinema/pool etc. + More info
Our Home & Location
The oldest part of house is over 350 years old. It was 2 farm workers cottages which became a single dwelling more than 60 years ago but still has some quirky features like 2 fireplaces and 2 staircases and plenty of character throughout.
It’s had some extensions put on, our favourite being our large and bright kitchen/ diner that we built in 2008, transforming the way we live....
In the garden we have stables converted into storage for our work, and a large office.
We also have cricket nets, football goals and a large deck/bbq area.
In the winter our house is cosy with opens fires, under floor heating as well as central heating.
There are local shops 10 minutes walk away, Braintree designer outlet is a 5 minute drive, and larger towns of Chelmsford and Colchester are both 20 minutes away.
We have countryside walks all around our village, as well as fishing lakes and farmland.
A car is advisable, there is a bus service to Witham and Braintree train stations but it’s not hugely regular and doesn’t run much after 6pm. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Our dogs are very friendly & affectionate and are used to lots of company. They play together well and adore being together. They would need to be fed morning and night, and we would ideally liked them walked at least every 2 days. But the garden is large so if walking isn’t possible it isn’t the end of the world. We have a dog flap so they can be left if you had days out, they can come and go inside the house and into the secure back garden.
