Lovely Newborough farmhouse with easy to look after daft animals
We are looking for home sitters to spend quality time with our daft menagerie. We are in the middle of a lovely village (Newborough DE13, Staffordshire) with a great gastropub, national forest on the doorstep for walks etc., There are a couple of Spas at St Georges Park (the FA centre) and Hoar Cross Hall within 3 miles, we have an enclosed heated swimming pool for the usual English weather (out of action in the winter sorry), there is a cleaner and gardener so you can just relax and look after our animals. All our animals are well trained, gentle, perhaps a little dopey and that includes the horses; two horses one pony. We have two dogs, an ancient mongrel Roly around 18 and a lovely Rottie Roxy age 2. Roxy needs a fair bit of exercise but this can involve standing in one of our fields with a tennis racket and ball, not hours of walks by any means, Rols happily follows. However if walking is your thing they both walk brilliantly and are well trained. Chickens look after themselves. The horses live out during the summer months so it is just checking on them, taking some hay, spraying insect repellent, they are really gentle horses who just want to eat. We usually like them brought in for a few hours during the day for a quick feed and check. A groom will come every other day to ride them and check them to take the worry away. In the winter they will need fetching in and turning out but the mucking out will be covered. We are surrounded by a great local community that know us well and are keen to help if ever needed. No children under 12, sorry.
