House sitters needed in Orsett, Essex, UK for two lovely rescue dogs.
Hi, my dogs get worried when they are left at home alone, they are making progress with training, but still need company if we go out for all day or when we go away on holiday. They are both rescue dogs and need the help of people who are quiet and calm. In return you will get lots of cuddles. K might even try to push you off the sofa if he stretches his long legs out whilst lying next to you. P loves sitting on laps and likes to sleep under the duvet.
If you like horses and are experienced, there is the opportunity to check those daily too. They live a 10 minute drive from the house. But don't be put off by that if you're just doggy people, as I can ask someone else to look after my herd.
Our Home & Location
We live in a lovely 3 bedroom house in the village of Orsett, in Essex, England. We have the best of both worlds because we live in a rural, farming community but we are only 30/40 minutes from London in a car/train.
Our village is very picturesque and has beautiful homes and buildings. There are many local footpaths for those that enjoy walking and an excellent village pub called The Whitmore Arms, that serves great food. You will need a car if you want to explore further than the village, but otherwise there is a village store in walking distance for buying food and 3 pubs too. BUT if you let me know what food you eat, I can buy it in for you :-)...
We are also near to Lakeside Shopping Centre (10 minute drive or 25 minutes on the train). There are many places to eat and various shops at Lakeside, as well as a cinema. And we are a 30 minute drive from Southend On Sea beachside resort, or this is 45 minutes away on the train. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
No walking required really, because they can have lots of enrichment in the garden and home. Our main priority is for someone to keep them company, feed them and give cuddles. If you want to look after the horses too and have access to a car to drive the short distance to the field, it will just be a case of checking them, as they live out.
