Young Labrador in South Downs Village
We are Mike & Gill, a married couple in our 50s, Mike is a partner in small firm of chartered accountants and I am a counsellor.
Our Home & Location
We live in a small village between Petworth and Midhurst (10 minutes drive to either) in the heart of the South Downs. Lots of walking directly from our back door. The village has a pub, serving good food, and a well stocked shop that has fresh meat, veg., groceries etc. There are many other "foodie" dog friendly pubs within a short drive.
Our house is 3 bedroom, two bathroom, with downstairs cloakroom. It has been newly renovated and extended. New kitchen with all mod cons. Big corner sofa in lounge with Sky, Netflix, BT Sport and a log burner. Medium size garden with plenty of off road parking.
Responsibilities & Pets
Our primary concern is caring for Bodie, our young Labrador. He is 5 months at time of posting, he will be a year on 14 February 2019. By the time we go away he will be having moderate exercise, about an hour a day, and lots of love!
He is a very friendly dog, loves people, other dogs and food - not necessarily in that order... He is a typical young lab, quite exuberant but very sweet natured. His recall is good and we exercise him on and off lead, well away from roads obviously. As he is still young we would not want him left alone for more than a couple of hours. Ideally we would like somebody experienced with young dogs, and not too far away so that we could meet beforehand. References & reviews essential.
