We are a family of 5 living in the Peak District in a small village near Bakewell and are surrounded by beautiful countryside and woods. We have 2 labradors, a Jack russell, a cat and a tortoise. We are looking for somebody to look after our precious animals and keep an eye on the house. We have a fantastic garden and fields around us which are brilliant for the dogs. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area including stunning walks and historic places to visit. We also have family living in the village so there is always someone on hand if needed and a cleaning lady that comes once a week who would also be happy to help or let out dogs if you wanted to go out for the day.
Our Home & Location
We live in the Peak District in the national park 5 minutes drive from the market town of Bakewell. Lots of beautiful attractions, walks and places to visit, especially Chatsworth which has markets and attractions around christmas time and is very near to us. Although we are in the centre of the village we are surrounded by fields but only a short walk to a fantastic village shop and two pubs.
Responsibilities & Pets
We have three dogs, a cat and a tortoise. All well loved family pets. The older Labrador, Gus, is 13 fit and healthy and loves everyone. The second Labrador, Dougie, is 6 and enjoys a really good walk. Our Jack Russell, Bertie, is 3 and is in charge but they all love company and lots of attention. The dogs all need walking twice a day with a longer walk in the morning, there is no need to drive anywhere to walk them as we have fields and a wood around our house. They can not be left more than 4 hours at a time and would need to be let out at lunch. The cat, Maisie, is fed morning and evening and will wait by the door if she wants to go out. The tortoise has clean water everyday and is fed once a day. If the weather is good he can go outside.
