Meon Valley Village Cottage with Bouncy Dogs
Hi we are a active family of five (children age 13/10/8) looking for an outgoing fun person to look after our beautiful house and lovely pets in a lovely part of Hampshire, in the Meon Valley. The main priority is looking after the dogs - which is easy from where we live! And having a presence from a security point of view. This is all new to us! For the last five years we have had live in au pair couples who have looked after the place when we are away so we are keen to try and replicate this environment for the animals rather than send them away.
Our Home & Location
Looking for someone to look after our house but mainly to look after our beautiful bouncy dogs and a couple of other small animals! Cottage adjacent to the main house would be the residence in a beautiful part of Hampshire. Double bedroom with mezzanine floor with 2 singles beds. Open plan living, dining area, kitchen and bathroom. Outside is a small courtyard garden with BBQ and seating area. Previously it was used as holiday let - The Old Pigsty Soberton (Look it up). Main reason for housesitting would be to look after 2 medium sized dogs, water the chickens and feed a bearded dragon! Pub in village < 1 mile away. Big village 2.5 miles away with many restaurants and stores. Southampton, Winchester and Portsmouth 20 minutes. Great for sights and activities over the South Downs. Access to mini gym with bike, running machine, rower and weights. The main house is a 17th century Thatched cottage and both properties are located in 6 acres of land. The village of Soberton is a very sociable friendly place with a mix of ages and backgrounds. Lots of walks and bike rides on the doorstep. Fast Broadband. Freeview TV. There is a old railway 50 m away which links with the villages, fields and river which is a great place for walking.
Responsibilities & Pets
Feed the dogs, play with them, take on one walk a day. Feed the bearded dragon locusts every day. Check water in chicken pen. Check main house ok. Put out bins once a week.
