Meet Chaos, Mayhem and Nina - our three friendly pets
We are Richard and Alison - we are a mature married couple living with our three pets and 12 fish. Alison still works full time and Richard is retired. Alison is a leader with the local Brownie group and Richard is a local theatre enthusiast
Our Home & Location
Our home is a three bedroomed cottage - set over three floors. We have a cottage sized lounge with two sofas and a leather chair. We have a 32 inch TV (we tried a 40 inch but it looked out of place!) with access to Netflicks, Amazon Prime and Now TV - sorry no SKY. We are lucky enough to have 4 dining areas - the main dining room next to the lounge seating 6, the kitchen table seating 3, our main dining area just outside the kitchen with a Gazebo seating 4 another at the bottom of the garden for when we have the pool set up.Three bedrooms - the main one with a 6 foot bed is on the first floor and looks out on to the green. A single bedded room over looking the garden and the top bedroom with a standard double bed and en suite shower again looks over the gardenWe have two bathrooms, one on the ground floor with bath, shower over the bath, toilet and wash basin. The other bathroom is at the top of the house with a shower cubicle, toilet and wash basin. The kitchen has everything you could want including air fryer blender and food processor washer dish washer and halgogen oven. We have a tumble dryer at the bottom of the garden. There is a small 19 in tv in the kitchen with free view chaneels that is easily moved to the outside table for alfresco entertainment. The lounge has a real fire for cozy evenings in.The garden is nearly 70 metres long with a lawn at the bottom and pond complete with 12 fish. There is a home office in the garden with access to a computer and wifi for use in the gardenThere is a limited bus service; however we would be willing to arrange for you to use one of our cars if you wish. There are two pubs in the village (20 minute stroll) both serving good food, two convenience stores a Chinese takeaway and a wonderful bakery. We have full wifi throughout the house. We are adjacent to a local nature reserve and the local common area.We walk our dog on a number of walks varying in length from 30 - 70 minutes long
Responsibilities & Pets
We have three pets - our two black and white cats Chaos (mainly white) and Mayhem (mainly black) have been with us since they were both 9 weeks old. They are full brothers and castrated. Chaos eats dry food and licks the gracy off the wet food and Mayhem eats wet food and occassionally dry food. they both like a treat and are likely to come back to the house if you stand at the back door and rattle a treat bag! They are very affectionate with both humans and each other; you will often find them curled up in a ball together head to toe. We feed them upstairs in the spare single room other wise Nina (the dog) will eat it. Nina is a relatively new addition to our home (October 2017). Mayhem is confident around her, Chaos is slightly skittish. Chaos has a bit of a rough time with a local cat (also mainly white and black with a black splodge on his nose) - he will try and get in the house if the window is left open and he is not kind to Chaos :-((. Both love a scratch around the ears, Mayhem particularly likes a scratch on his back just where his tail starts - if you do that he will sit with you all night!! Mayhem probably won't paddle you with his claws and if he does it is quite gentle, Chaos on the otherhand will try to pierce you with his claws to show his love for you!!! Both may come and sit on your shoulder if you are sat at the computer. WE LOVE OUR CATS!!! Nina is a rescue dog - she is on her third home she has the potential to be a brilliant dog sadly though the two previous owners don't seem to have helped her achieve this. I believe her only crime was to love life a litrtle bit too much. Nina is bloody clever and bloody stubborn - which has made for a few problems training her but we are working with her. Nina is a very accomplished escape artist so it is essential to keep the dog gate closed. Nina has full acces to our garden. Nina is good with all people including children though she can still be boisterous and easily knock a child over. Nina is reactive with other dogs - we keep her on the lead when we are out for a walk as Nina has no recall.. Nina has NO RECALL! If she does get out she will run to the first person she sees to say hello - just ask them to hold on to her collar. The good news is two 40 minute walks is enough for her; thiough she can walk further but after 90 minutes she will probably lie down and not want to go any further.
