Pug and Jack Russel sitting
I am looking for a sitter for 2 dogs and 2 rabbits for New Years Day night so my husband and I can have a night away for our 1st wedding anniversary before we go back to work after the busy Xmas period....
We would need the sitter/s to arrive around lunch time on New Years Day and they would be free to leave after the dogs have been fed and walked on the 2nd.
The dogs are an 11 years old Jack Russell and a 3 year old Pug. + More info
Our Home & Location
We live in a small 3 bed semi detached property on a modern housing estate.
The property has central heating, 50 inch TV with Sky Q, fast broadband, lounge, kitchen, upstairs bathroom with shower and downstairs wc. 1 double bedroom and 2 single bedrooms (double bedroom will not be available to sitters) therefore the sit may be more suited to a single person or a parent and child unless you don't mind separate single rooms.
We have Netflix, Amazon, PlayStation and X Box 360 which your more than welcome to use....
The property is located on the outskirts of a town (15min walk to the centre) There is a Weatherspoons, Lidl, Greggs, Boots and various other shops, pubs, cafe's, an Italian restaurant and takeaways that deliver (please note a lot of places will be closed on New Years Day)
The property is just 6 miles from Bishop Auckland, 10miles from Durham City and 30 miles from Newcastle. We are 9 miles from Hamsterley Forest.
There's a walking route near to our property we take the dogs on which take a approx 15-20mins. The Jack Russel loves to play ball and there is a recreational area and children's play park just 600m from our home. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
The dogs are usually walked after breakfast and dinner, however you can walk them to suit your plans as their routine is not ridgit.
Ludo must be kept on lead at all times as he will try and run on to the road when a car is coming. Lily has excellent recall and can be walked off lead but is equally happy to be walked on the lead but she will pull....
The rabbits live outside in an adapted shed and will only require a bowl of nuggets and a couple of handfulls of hay and some veg on a morning and making sure they have water. If it's wet and windy we shut the door on a night and open it up again the next morning. They have an outside run attached so if its wet and windy during the day then we'll keep the door closed. They are rescue rabbits and not used to be handled.
Ludo the pug walks at a pace of between 0-2mph, infact I am sure he was bred with stop/start technology installed in him. He can also be very demanding for attention and has a thing for barking at cars and people that go past the house. We do have various treats available that are a good distraction for him.
The dogs are shut in the kitchen during the day when we are not at home and overnight and are used to being left for 8hrs during the day if you wish to go sightseeing etc. + More info
