Chris and Brian
We are retired teachers with two cats. We like travelling and, in early 2018, went on an extended trip to New Zealand and Australia because we feel it is important to see family and we were lucky enough to take in some England cricket matches whilst in New Zealand. Jennie helped us during this time and proved to be a fantastic sitter.
We live in a wonderful part of the country with easy access to Dartmoor and Exmoor. We also enjoy close proximity to the beautiful coastline of Devon and Cornwall and often go for coastal walks and cycle trips on purpose-built cycle paths near Exeter, Barnstaple and Padstow.
Our Home & Location
Our house is a large semi-detached house with wonderful views of the valley. Ivybridge is a pleasant village with coffee houses, pubs, shops and a large "Watermark" centre with library and good info section, cinema and snack bar serving light meals and refreshments. There is also a large Tesco supermarket 2.5 miles away at Lee Mill. Excellent bus and train services link the historical cities of Exeter and Plymouth, each of which has its own major attractions such as the Cathedral and mediaeval centre of Exeter and the famous Plymouth Hoe where Francis Drake was supposed to have played bowls when the Armada was approaching! Equally accessible is Cornwall via the Tamar road bridge and a particularly famous rail bridge built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, opened in 1859.
