Dog sitting @ my home
Hello! My partner an I LOVE our dogs like our children and are an integral part of our life. Whilst we love to go on holidays we hate leaving them. We have met some wonderful people who have helped out and have sit for us on many occasions. It is important to us that there is not only a trusting relationship with me and David but also with the dogs since they are our life! :-)
I think that this is best suited for someone (or a couple) who like to spend time at home with the dogs as they mostly have someone around all the time. We also ask that you have your own car and are happy to have their dog beds and seatbelts in the back seat since they are never put in the boot of a car :-) Also we feel this is best suited for someone with no children or pets as we keep our house very tidy and prefer not to risk pet messes or children related accidents :-)...
Additionally we would like someone who lives within a short distance from the area so that you can come on walks and visit the dogs to let them get to know you. This is important for us as Pebbles was a rescue and although with us for 2 years still has some nervousness and needs to be comfortable with you.
Smoking is strictly not allowed in the house or outside the house, so we request non smokers only. Thank you! + More info
Our Home & Location
We have a lovely 4 bedroom house within walkable distance to Haslemere train station (and you can NOT hear the trains which is great! nice and quiet!!!). Its a detached house in a lovely residential area with some fantastic neighbours. Our house has a large garden front and rear and is fenced off so the dogs can play around when we have the doors open in the summer. A car is required to get around other areas and taking the dogs to the nearby National Trust Parks for morning walks. We are fortunate to live in an area where there are so many beautiful dog walks within a very short drive from us. The countryside is beautiful and peaceful and plenty of ball throwing opportunities for Holly!
We have Wifi and Sky TV along with Netflix and Amazon Video. If you live in the local area we feel it is important to visit us several times and get to know the dogs and them you. Haslemere has two large supermarkets (Waitrose and Tesco) and an M&S food hall and you can walk to the Wey Hill shops which has a butchers, dry cleaners, pet shop... We have neighbours who know us well and can assist if needed.
Responsibilities & Pets
Holly and Pebbles require 2 walks a day (morning one is usually the longer one at 45 min to an hour and the second one is late afternoon of at least 30 min) and play time in our garden during the day. They have the luxury of sleeping in our bed with us (princesses!) so its important that you are comfy with that too!
Both receive two meals a day and a treat around lunch....
They have a good regular schedule in place and best if kept to it (especially for Pebbles the rescue) rather than deviating too much and are used to having someone with them most of the time. They are left on their own a max of 2 hours at a time and hardly ever more than once a day. + More info
