Walks, wells and award winning farm shops - enjoy an escape to the country!
I'm a busy self employed person who loves to travel and eat great food. My tastes are eclectic, as is my art collection! I travel 10+ times a year - a mixture of work and pleasure. I re-homed Benji, a very friendly Dalmatian, in Jan 2017 and he is an absolute poppet. I have two grown up children who live in Devon and Derbyshire so I crank up a few miles on motorways too!
Our Home & Location
Grayshott is on the Surrey Hampshire border, and my home is literally 3 mins walk to 650 acres of National Trust walking land - which includes Waggonners Wells and Ludshott Common. Its a beautiful, ever changing landscape. The area is full of great pubs, a lovely farm shop 200 yards down the road (which converts into a restaurant on Thursday to Saturday nights!) and the village centre a five minute drive away with all the shops you need for a weekly shop. Haslemere is 10 minutes away - with main line station to London and Waitrose, M and S, Tescos etc. I've only lived here for 3 months but absolutely love it. My home is warm and welcoming - wood burner, oak floors, modern kitchen with coffee makers, open plan lounge and dining area, mix of modern and old furniture, 2 guest bedrooms, plus library/study.
Responsibilities & Pets
Its literally dog sitting only. Benji needs 2/3 walks a day of 45 min plus or he gets pretty bouncy. He can be left for 4-ish hours at a push but he does like company. He's not great at heel, so a firm, kind hand is needed - but he's good at recall (now!) so you can let him off, and loves his food, which he has morning and night. So if in doubt, carry treats and he'll be back to you like a shot! I have cleaners on a Wednesday so house is kept clean but frankly, with Benji, it will need a mid week vac but other than that enjoy the books and coffee machine!
