Pet and house sitter required for lovely home in central Reigate
We are family of five with two very loveable pets - a dog, Woody and cat, Tess. We have two sons at university and one still at home in his last year at school. My husband travels into London to work each day and I work from home, so Woody and Tess are very used to having company.
Our Home & Location
Our home is in the centre of Reigate and approximately 2 minutes walk from the High Street. It is an 8 min walk to Reigate station which has easy links to London to the north (40mins), Reading to the west (1hr) and Brighton to the south (1hr). We are 15 mins by train and car to Gatwick Airport. Reigate's beautiful Priory Park is a one minute walk from the house and we also have lots of countryside walks on our doorstep. Downstairs, the house has a large kitchen/dining room and two sitting rooms for you to relax in and enjoy. We have a good sized garden with outdoor furniture and a parking area to the far end.
Responsibilities & Pets
Woody is a big, gentle, 11yr old chocolate lab. He joined us when he was 6yrs old having previously been owned by a fireman; when his marriage broke down he was no longer able to care for Woody without leaving him on his own during his long shifts. Woody struggles a bit with arthritis in his lower spine and as result can't manage long walks. 45mins per day is perfect although he does mange to get round the golf course most weekends with my husband at a pretty slow pace! Woody gets very excited about his two meals per day and over the years we have had to learn to keep all surface sand cupboard foods out of his reach! Tess is 12, very petite and really loves attention. She and Woody are scared of each other and give each other a wide birth when passing through the same doorway!
In the summer months, responsibilities will include watering the flowerbeds and pots - approx 30mins per day.
