Central Farnham Ground floor flat - sitter required for 1 easy going cat
My name is Grace, I'm 29 and an Insurance Broker based in Surrey. I relocated here a couple of years ago from Essex and decided to rehome a cat who now goes by the name of Minnie. I am looking for a housesitter as I am not comfortable with using catteries and don't have many friends in the local area who can take care of my little bundle of fluff. With a rehomed cat it is difficult to know the history, but I don't believe she has had an awful lot of fuss and it has taken me a lot of love and care to bring her round, and as such she is a cat that needs regular company (human kind only ha). I have not been away longer than 1 night since I have taken her on, however, I have family that live abroad that I haven't seen since I rehomed her so I thought I would give this a try and see if someone would be able to keep her company and give her some fuss in my absence.
My main hobby is music, both listening and playing. I have an eclectic music taste and an ever growing instrument collection currently consisting of a kyeboard, bass guitar, guitar, accordion and ukelele and there is a makeshift music room at my home where I spend a lot of my time.
Our Home & Location
My home is a 2 bedroom flat just out of the centre of Farnham, about a 10/15 min walk to the main shops and train station. There is a direct train into London Waterloo approximately an hours journey. Close to the A3 so easy accesss to the M25 and the like.
Farnnham has plenty of places to eat and drink, with some lovely bars and live music. Often gigs and beer festivals etc are held at the Farnham Maltings.
There is also Farnham Castle which is again about 15 mins walk from the flat.
The flat itself is ground floor so you will have access to the communal garden. There is a double bed in the main bedroom and a futon in the spare room/music room. Usual homely facilities, and use of Wi-fi....
Bathroom has both a bath and a shower. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Minnie is predominantly a house cat and whilst I take her out when I am here, I would not expect anyone to take on this responsibility in my absence and would prefer that she stays in as can be easily spooked by outside noises!.
Minnie is quite an easy going cat and not high maintenance, and I purely am looking for a housesitter so that she has some company. She is fed twice a day and as long as someone is there to give her some fuss and play with her if she's feeling a like a little fun, that's the only requirements :)...
She does tend to dribble when she is happy and has a cuddle. Like most black cats, cuddles are on her terms and she will let you know when she's had enough. She can be easily frightened by loud noises and may hide in the wardrobe until things have calmed down. Shes a very sweet cat when she wants to be and is usually pretty contents with sitting with you on the sofa. She is not generally a lap cat, but you may be lucky.
She has no special diet or requirements. + More info
