Affectionate ‘mini’ whippet seeks gentle friend(s) for walks and cuddles in front of the fire in beautiful Period Surrey home
We are a family of 4 living with our aupair and our whippet Zoe in Sunny east Surrey. We both work full time, and enjoy being outdoors in our spare time. Our dog is quite sensitive and shy, and we would like her to be able to stay in our home while we are away.
Our Home & Location
We live in a large semi-detached victorian house with original windows and high ceilings on the edge of a large village green in Godstone village. Beautiful rural walks, lots of national trust properties nearby. Wood burning stove and pizza delivery!
We love feeling like we live in the countryside but with easy access to London and local towns. The village is friendly with a thriving community who put on cinema nights and social events. Loads to see in the local area!
Our house was extended and completely renovated 2 years ago and we think it’s rather lovely. We have a small garden which we will be landscaping soon. Right on our front door is a large village green.
Our spare room has a king size bed and has been recently redecorated. We have a piano, sonos through the ground fooor and a cinema room in the basement. We have lots of cookery books and a beautiful kitchen to practice in....
This is a predominantly rural district with small towns and pretty villages. It features a large area of the Surrey Hills to the north and agricultural lands to the south.
Oxted is one of the largest towns in the district and has the main A25 road running through it. A medium sized town it offers pubs, cafes and a good mix of independent and chain shops, providing visitors with most of what they might need. Within the town are swimming and leisure facilities, plus Barn Theatre and Masters Park an attractive open space.
Lingfield is one of the more well known villages, predominantly because its also home to the famous Lingfield Park Racecourse. Lingfield its self is a small village surrounded by countryside, and dates back hundreds of years. The centre features St Peter's Cross and The Cage. St Peter's Cross dates from 1473 and marks the boundaries between two manors, while The Cage built in 1773 was built as a 'lock up' and was in use until 1883. Over The Cage hangs an ancient large hollowed oak tree. Within the village is a local pub offering food and drink and a small selection of shops. Not too far away from Lingfield is also the popular animal attraction, The British Wildlife Centre.
Close the M25 which runs through the north part of the district isGodstone. With both historic centre surrounding a duck pond as well as a modern part of the town, one of the most popular attractions is the well loved Godstone Farm. Children and families can experience the delights of letting children see and experience all kinds of farm and small animals. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Our whippet Zoe is teeny tiny and quite shy. She is very affectionate - a real Velcro dog. Whilst she sleeps in her crate downstairs at night, she will always try her luck and see if she can get away with snuggling in your bed!
Zoe is fed twice a day and has two short 30 min walks or one longer walk a day although longer hikes around the SURREY hills are much appreciated. Her recall is excellent so once she knows you she will be fine off the lead. If it’s raining she might politely decline a walk!...
Zoe loves company and cuddles. + More info
