Busy family of four with dog, cat and, new member of the family, Bear (hamster) makes 7! We have a number of events which we don't think is fair to take the dog to. We are new to the area having relocated from Buckinghamshire 3 years ago due to jobs. Consultant headteacher and CEO in the family and 2 children in school. We used to have a small holding with sheep, horses and chickens but have downsized to just a cat and a dog - the others are looked after nearby. For this trip Poppy will be joining us so it will be just looking after Missy and Bear. Missy just likes her creature comforts, a warm bed and food on tap! She is a keen birdwatcher - not a catcher so much any more, thankfully! Bear is nocturnal but very well behaved and lives to dig!
Our Home & Location
In the heart of the Cotswolds, Minchinhampton is a beautiful old market town ( Market day Thursday morning - small but well preserved) Set within 600 acres of common land, our house is a short walk to the first edge of the common, down a quiet no through lane. The other end of which is the 'Old Common' a shorter expanse of common land with walks across paddocks and farm land. A little further and the pub is at hand for a bit of refreshment! There's a bus stop to Stroud nearby and Stroud itself is only 3 miles away. A local shop in the town centre open to the early evening which sells almost everything you could need. Doctors, library and 3 excellent coffee shops, as well as bespoke shops a hairdresser, post office and a small branch of Boots! Lovely walks and views and pubs.
