Cat Sitter wanted for a loving Ginger Cat from 16th to the 21st September 2018
Hello, we are a retired couple with a very, very spoilt cat! We used to be in business and had hoped to use our retirement to travel but find that our cat does not agree! We are hoping that by finding a Trusted Housesitter we will be able to go away without feeling guilty, which we do if we put him into a cattery, and that he can remain at home and receive loads of cuddles.
Our Home & Location
Our home is a stone cottage in the village of St. Briavels in West Gloucestershire. St. Briavels is situated between the Wye Valley on the one side and the Forest of Dean on the other, and is midway between the Historic towns of Chepstow and Monmouth. The area is a well known holiday destination and has many tourist attractions as well as offering beautiful walks and great opportunities for cycling, kayaking and other outdoor pursuits.
Our cottage is in the centre of the village with a small deli/shop about twenty yards away, there is also a pub which serves food every day except Monday when it is closed all day....
Although there is some public transport it is infrequent and so own transport would be necessary.
Our house offers accommodation with a double bedroom and ensuite bathroom but there is no bathroom downstairs. There is a woodburner in both the kitchen and the sitting room. We have wifi but it is not available in the kitchen due to the thick stone walls.
We have a small garden and off road parking. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
The main thing that we would like from a house sitter is to love, feed and cuddle our ginger cat. If they could also look after our home and enjoy and treat it as they would their own that too please.
Our cat is very sociable and rather spoilt but quite happy to wander in and out through the cat flap if nobody is around in the day, he does not wander far from the house. At night he has the freedom of the house and access to outside via the cat flaps. We would also appreciate it if our garden pots could be watered when necessary.
