My husband and I live at home in a Cotswold village with our young son. We also have two daughters who are away at school. Our beloved Bernese mountain dog Nina is 7 - she is a gentle giant! Our two cats Pablo and Pepe aren’t that keen on each other but we love them both!. We have a large and comfortable listed Queen Anne Manor House well-hidden, but in the centre of the village. The garden is beautiful and private. We have a tennis court and swimming pool.
Our Home & Location
We live 10 minutes from Stroud which has a famous Farmers market and plenty of great pubs like the Woolpack in Slad where Laurie Lee wrote Cider with Rosie. 20 minutes away is Cirencester which is a busy market town and Tetbury, SW Englands premier spot for antique shopping (and sometimes royal spotting!). Our home is beautiful (large) but homely. I am an interior decorator and though the house is old, it has been fully refurbished 10 years ago so is warm and well-appointed. There is a shop and two pubs in the village, both of which are good for suppers of a Sunday lunch.
Responsibilities & Pets
I need someone to look after, feed and walk our Bernese mountain dog and also our two cats - and look after the house. Nina needs about an hours walk a day and there are plenty of routes straight out of the front gate. The cats come and go as they please. Depending on sitting dates, in the week we might have someone in the garden cutting the lawns, or another gardener, but no-one else with responsibility for the house.
