House/Dog sit required, modern 5 bedroom house with pool table near the Cotswolds
We are a young, laid back professional couple looking for a trustworthy and reliable sitter that will give us piece of mind our fur babies are being taken care of whilst we're on holiday. We have 2 dogs, Bella who is a fluffy, lazy 5 year old Lhasa and Zeus a friendly, energetic 6 year old staffy cross whom we adopted in July last year. Zeus is a rescue dog who found kennels very stressful so we would love for him to be able to stay at home in familiar surroundings with his sister while we go away. He is strong lad so we would prefer somebody that has experience with larger dogs.
We relocated to Gloucester 3 years ago and absolutely love it! There are so many things to do. We have enjoyed exploring and have lots of recommendations of places to visit during your stay. Some of our favorites include Pinknash bird and deer farm, Robinswood Hill Country Park, Crickley Hill Country Park and Rococo Garden, all less than a 20 minute drive away.
Our Home & Location
We live in a quiet friendly cul de sac, close to local amenities, approx 15 min drive to Gloucester Quays shopping outlet (or Cheltenham town in the opposite direction) and there is also an abundance of country walks nearby. Our house is a spacious 5 double bedroom detached home tucked in the back of the cul de sac. We have a large kitchen diner, 3 bathrooms, modern lounge, enclosed garden and of course the all important 'man cave' complete with pool table and 55" 4K tv.
Responsibilities & Pets
All we ask is that you clean up after yourself and that the dogs are well looked after. They require feeding twice a day (AM & PM) and walked for a minimum of 1 hour per day. They are both quite happy to sleep in on a morning so no need to set any alarms! We have an enclosed garden so easy to let them out for the toilet. Both are very well behaved in the car and would be happy to explore the countryside with you. Bella is quite independent and sometimes likes to wonder off into one of the quiet rooms for a snooze, whereas Zeus is very affectionate and fancies himself as a bit of a lap dog so loves a fuss. Zeus loves playing fetch and Bella loves her treats. They are fine to be left at home for a max of 4 hours but it would be good if you could take them for a walk beforehand so they can let of some steam.
