The Barn Carr Farm
My husband and I both still work, David is in sales and I work part-time in a care home providing activities for the residents. Before that I was a teacher. We prefer to leave the dogs at home and in the past have had house-sitter s , using friends and family.
Our Home & Location
We live in a converted barn with a large secure garden surrounded by fields and lovely views. The barn has 3 beds and a spacious kitchen and lounge , a large bathroom, downstairs loo and a study. The garden has a stone flag patio with furniture and stone built BBQ. We spend as much time as possible outside , weather permitting ! There is a lovely pub within walking distance and both Sowerby Bridge and Ripponden are a few mins by car. We do have a bus service but only hourly. Halifax is a short drive away and features the newly restored Piece Hall , and Hebden Bridge is popular for its shops ,art and cafes, again a short drive away.
Responsibilities & Pets
Generally the cats are pretty independent , they are fed twice a day and have a cat flap into the garden so they come and go as they please . The dogs are all exercised in the garden as there is lots of space to run around. The dogs are fed morning and teatime , but Dora has supper too at 8ish.
