URGENT - Judy & Gerry

Introduction
Judy and Gerry are both retired and enjoy living in the country. They met as Army Officers in Germany where they lived for 8 years before returning to UK to run a Girls' Boarding School in Somerset. They then set up an events business, a Wellness Centre and holiday lettings and retired to this area on the Somerset/Devon border, in 2017. They are fit and active and enjoy skiing as well as travel. Their two adult children are both London based journalists. The community in which they live is lively and motivated to helping each other. Judy and Gerry live full, at times hectic, lives enjoying all that the community has to offer.
Our Home & Location
Our home is a four bedroomed stone built barn conversion set in two acres of garden. The house is four miles from the nearest main road, the A38 and about 9 miles from J26/M5. This means that we have got used to driving through the narrow country lanes that surround our community. The house has stunning views which include an uninterrupted vista to the Wellington Monument, some 10 kilometres away. We feel that a car is necessary although some of our neighbourhood happily walk to the community shop, about two miles away. We have a couple of close neighbours but we are situated about a mile from the village of Ashbrittle so fairly isolated. The nearest town of Wellington, 6 miles away, is a very pleasant small town with Waitrose, a small Boots, a cinema, a Sports Centre, Spa and several privately owned shops. The County Town of Taunton is about 12 miles away and has Debenhams, Marks & Spencer, Waterstones, TK Maxx and other major chain stores. Wiveliscombe is a delightful small town about 6 miles from here but a fairly cross country drive. We have a large, modern, well equipped kitchen with a 4-oven Aga, dishwasher, fridge freezer etc and we normally eat there when we are just two. Pippa sleeps there, not in bedrooms and not on furniture!
Responsibilities & Pets
The responsibilities are essentially the care of our lovely dog, Pippa. Sadly, we recently lost our lovely 11 yr old Golden Retriever, Gussie so we have just the one dog at the moment. She is very friendly and easy going 'though as a young Springer, Pippa does need her daily exercise. She roams the gardens quite happily, normally with a ball in her mouth in the hope that you will throw it for her to retrieve. There are plenty of local walks including down to the River Tone, 10 minutes away but they are all hilly. We tend to go to the Grand Western Canal, a 5 minute drive away, about 4 times a week for a lovely 2-5 mile (flat!) walk. Pippa will run for miles with a constantly wagging tail, radiating happiness. She never demonstrates aggression or anti social behaviour towards people or other animals. A cleaner comes weekly as do gardeners so gardening is a personal choice. Our indoor plants need regular watering and, during summer months, the kitchen garden produce needs tending, eating and watering. The turret clock needs weekly winding and we like to keep outdoor areas looking tidy.
