On the banks of the river Wye, 2 Burmese cats need love and attention
On this occasion we are taking the dogs with us, so we only require someone who really would love to spend time with our 2 Burmese cats . Hector and Mimi love to be cuddled, they are used to a lot of attention, expect to accompany you for a walk along the river bank - (try getting out of the house without them tagging along !). They bring us close to nature with the interesting selection of wildlife they find in the garden...sloworms, mice, squirrels, even an eel, rarely birds. Our house is warm and welcoming with an Aga and log fires. A car is needed if you want to travel further afield to explore the area, as we are not on a bus route and 5 miles from the nearest shop. Internet is workable but can be slow to upload.
Our Home & Location
The house has been recently modernised. It is a Herefordshire stone longhouse, thought to be a part of an old monastery, mentioned in the Doomsday book. In an AONB at the heart of the Wye Valley. It is a perfect retreat with 10 acres of gardens/woodland on the banks of the river Wye, summer house overlooking the river where we frequently have barbecued breakfasts, tennis court, walks etc. We are 5 miles from the nearest shop so a car is needed, or proficient use of online grocery deliveries! It is a deeply rural location about 10 minutes from Ross on Wye, 25 minutes from Hereford.
Responsibilities & Pets
Feed the cats 2 or 3 or more times a day and cuddle them lots.
Keep the house in the condition it was found and enjoy being here....
