Fabulous family house in central Brighton with adorable Sprollie, Ziggy
We live in a four storey townhouse 2 minutes from the beach and near to all the shops in Brighton. We're off on a family holiday and want someone to look after our beloved 2 year old Sprollie, Ziggy. He's used to us being around as we're both writers and work at home, so he likes company and walks on the beach and the South downs which are 10 minutes away by car. He's very intelligent, friendly and obedient. He rarely barks (except at the postman) and is very affectionate.
Our Home & Location
We are in central Brighton (at the Hove end) in an 1870's four-storey Grade II listed terraced town house. It's one of the most picturesque streets in Brighton and we're over the road from the house Constable lived and painted in. We are just up from the beach and around the corner from Waitrose and a five minute walk to the Churchill Centre, Lanes and the vibrant shopping area of Brighton. We are a ten minute drive from Devil's Dyke and the South Downs. We have a living room/through dining room on the ground floor, plus a loo and study with a door to a little balcony and steps down to our west facing garden (with garden table and chairs and a BBQ). The kitchen is in the basement and has a large French fitted kitchen with a Lacanche cooker. We have a back kitchen where Ziggy and the guinea pig sleep with access to the garden. On the first floor is a bathroom, loo, double spare room and double master bedroom. On the second floor - the kids floor - we have three bedrooms, a loo and big bathroom with jacuzzi bath and power shower. It's a spacious house with plenty of room and whilst a bit shabby around the edges, it's a very loved home and a happy place to be.
Responsibilities & Pets
To walk Ziggy twice a day - once in the morning and once in the afternoon/evening, feed him and to make sure he's not left for long periods of time in the house. Also to feed the guinea pigs and put them out in their run in the garden if the weather is nice. The house is very lived-in and certainly not a show-home, but it is very comfortable with a lovely kitchen and sitting room and a garden.
