Pet sitter for Nellie the labradoodle in a large and cosy Victorian house by the sea in Hove
We are a family of 4 (with girls aged 11 and 14) who are looking for someone to look after Nellie our 5 year old labradoodle and 2 young guinea-pigs Pip and Nugget when we go away over Easter and for our summer holidays this August. We live in a spacious 5 bedroomed Victorian semi with garden in Hove, and the sea is right at the end of our road.
Our Home & Location
The sea and Hove beach and promenade are at the end of our road - Nellie loves running on the beach with the wind in her hair. You can walk along the promenade all the way to Brighton if you feel fit - or Wish Park with a playground and cafe is just 10 minutes' walk away. Richardson Road just opposite is a lovely street with deli, butcher and cafes, and there are lots of buses to Brighton from the bus stop at the top of the road (in 15 mins). Further afield are a variety of other local parks, and the South Downs with lots of country pubs are 10 minutes' drive away if you fancy longer strolls. We've got lots of local maps to borrow if you'd like to explore - and we can recommend some favourite routes and pubs.
Responsibilities & Pets
We are looking for someone to look after our dog Nellie and walk her twice a day, and to feed and stroke our 2 new family members - Pip and Nugget the guinea-pigs. Nellie is a lovely dog who is a bit nervous with strangers to start with but warms up with some treats - she mainly wants company and loves to go for walks and then is happy to chill out at home. The house is homely and the garden low maintenance so will only need basic upkeep if anything.
