SUFFOLK Farmhouse countryside 20 mins away from Ipswich
Hi I am a designer , originally in fashion and now in landscape design , both of which I love . My husband is a farmer , creative engineer and rock musician .
We live in an old farmhouse my husbands family have been here 100 years ....
We love our wonderful home and have created a fantastic garden .
The farm is arable and includes woodland which makes for great walking .
We have a small lake and Oliver has built a pontoon where we sit on warm evenings to enjoy a glass of wine and the views .
Within the garden we have a large walled area Surrounding our swimming pool . I have designed it to feel like a Mediterranean garden with masses of geraniums plants climbers figs etc . There is also a barbecue and pergola to sit under in really hot weather .
Inside the house we have a large kitchen which has a fireplace as does our family sitting room . On winter evenings we cook chestnuts on the fire which is fab !
Mr Binks and pudding stretch out in front of it . They are good friends .
We lost our two golden retrievers a brother and sister from old age six months ago .
Very sad and missed by all .!
Our daughter married
In August and now lives in CHELTENHAM .
We are looking for house sitters as we would like to spend more time down there possibly a week a month .
Oliver retired earlier this year and we would also like to travel together for short stretches of time , but need a loving soul to take care of our two lovely pets .
We have a lovely lady who cleans and full time help in the garden although help with watering pots is always gratefully received !!
Our house and home are very relaxed , warm and friendly .
Looking forward to meeting some lovely people to enjoy it too . Miranda and Olive + More info

Long Melford is about 10 minutes from Lavenham and as well as shops and lovely old pubs it has Kentwell Hall a spectacular Tudor hall and also Melford Hall both well worth visiting .
Bury Saint Edmunds is 35 minutes from us and is a stunning Georgian City with a beautiful Cathedral , shops and eating places .
Suffolk is a beautiful county full of character and charm and great for exploring .
