Petsitter needed for 2 cats in rural Suffolk
Hi, we are going on holiday just after midday on Sunday 14th October. We would like to meet our housesitter beforehand to talk through details about our cats Leo and Cleo, and the house etc. We are happy if you would like to arrive the day before or in the morning of the 14th as long as you feel that you will have enough time to settle in and understand things about the house.
We will be home about lunchtime on 9th November.
Our Home & Location
The house is in a beautiful, secluded setting next to the church about 10 miles from Ipswich. A car is necessary as it is about a 20 minute walk from the village of Shotley. The house is a comfortable, three bedroom detached property with garden. We have lovely neighbours, one of whom will come and cut the grass from time to time.
We live in a beautiful part of Suffolk, close to many places of interest - castles, stately homes and gardens, seaside and rivers, medieval villages, nature reserves. Norwich, Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge are great to visit and London is about an hour away by train.
Responsibilities & Pets
The cats are 16 and are very healthy. They have become more affectionate as they have got older. Leo likes to sit beside you and will touch you with his paw to get you to stroke him. Cleo is very talkative and assertive - when she wants to be fussed she will come and sit on you, then go when she's had enough. They require feeding twice a day, and love being brushed. Cleo also loves to be vacuumed (on lowest setting) so may follow you about, meowing, when you use the vacuum! Leo, on the other hand, will run away at the mere sight of the vacuum. He also hates thunder and may disappear under the shed to hide.
I would also like the houseplants to be watered, and the plants in pots in the garden. The rubbish, recycling or garden waste bins need to be put out at the end of the garden each week.
