Anisa Seeks Companion While Parent's Vacation
My husband and I enjoy one long holiday a year, with the odd weekend here or there. In the past, close friends have watched our beloved Anisa. She is a precious little creature, who always has multiple people keen to watch her. Unfortunately, we are new to the area and don't know anyone yet. Luckily, TrustedHouseSitters came highly recommended! I'm excited to try this new (to me) service.
Our Home & Location
If you enjoy peace and quiet and countryside, this is the house for you.
The house is situated in the small village of Denford. When I say small, I mean it! The 2011 census listed only 282 occupants. Multiple buildings and structures are of special architectural or historic interest, with the oldest dated to 13th Century. The local pub, The Cock, has a decent beer selection....
Titchmarsh Nature Reserve is only a 10-minute drive away. It features a two-hour walk around the lakes with views of various flora and fauna, or simply lounge on a bench and enjoy the fly-fishermen. There are two historic villages in close proximity to the reserve, each with multiple historic sites. The King's Head pub has good food and allows dogs. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Anisa, the dog, requires the most work. She enjoys long walks on the beach, and drinking piña coladas. Just kidding. She enjoys short walks and jaunts in her garden. Yes, her garden. She hates rain! She loves to sun herself in the garden. Anisa eats a casserole morning and night. Since I will be gone for three weeks, I will need someone willing to cook the casserole weekly. It's super easy, cook a cup of rice, 1/2 a bag of vegetables, and cook the chicken; mix together and serve twice daily. I must warn you. Anisa loves to snuggle. She has a constant need to enjoy your company. She's not bothersome, she will just sit beside you on the couch while you do whatever it is you do. I hope you don't mind a doggy in bed with you! She will join you under the covers at night. You can tell her no. Overall, she is very smart, knows a lot of words, and listens the majority of the time. She can be snotty and most definitely will chuff at you, but will obey.
The house and garden are easy; keep the house neat and tidy, and don't worry about the garden....
When you leave the house, please leave Anisa downstairs with the bottom stair baby gate closed. Anisa can walk upstairs, but please leave the gate closed while you two are upstairs. And always carry her down the stairs, she's a little old and not as coordinated and agile as a young whippersnapper. Finally, if you take her out on a long walk, please pick her up when she asks (she puts her paws on your leg). + More info
