2 lovely flatcoats, beautiful large Yorkshire home, great country location
I have a beautiful family home in between Harrogate and Leeds, in Otley, West Yorkshire, not far from the Dales. There is fabulous hiking, cycling and running routes on my doorstep. I have 2 fabulous fun loving flat coat retrievers 2 and 4, that everybody adores. Very well behaved and love running on the Chevin National Park, which is just a mile away.
I work away/need to visit family for 2 to 3 days 3 out of 4 weeks a month and when not travelling require dog walkers when I need to go into the office. I’d also need the boys taking care of when on holiday or out of the area for any other reason....
I am looking for an individual who is dog loving, fit and loves the outdoors. This would develop into a longer term stay with the person sharing my home in return for helping to care for my boys whilst I am away or in work. There would also be responsibility for cleaning the house and patio areas.
In return you will have a beautiful home to live in. This would suit a mature student or someone who can work from home and / or works part time but can be home at the appropriate times.
Please let me know a little about yourself in your reply and why you are interested in this opportunity.
Key points - I would be present living in the house at the same time for the majority of the time, when not travelling. Prefer single person rather than a couple. + More info
Our Home & Location
Otley is a great market town, nearby towns include Ilkley, Harrogate and Leeds. You get the best of a city, variety of great towns and fabulous Yorkshire countryside.
It’s a five bedroom family home over four floors, with a basement study/gym, almost an acre garden including sun patio, art studio and sauna also in the garden.
Responsibilities & Pets
Caring for the dogs as detailed above with general household cleaning. As long as the boys are well looked after when I am away or working you would be free to do as you wish, using my home as your own. They love running with me on the Chevin or walking on the moors and require 1.5hrs walk per day, however when I am home I would also be walking them so this is not every day.
Other than that they enjoy company of adults and children and as long as they are not left alone for more than 4hrs at a time they are happy. I would expect the house to be maintained in a clean and tidy state, as you would your own.
