A quiet retreat & lovely dog - Amazing views over the sea and south downs
We have a lovely dog called Elsie who is fantastic. She is friendly, loving, very cuddly and she loves to play.
We are looking for somebody who is happy to look after her at our house and exercise her in our very large garden. We have about half an acre of land - it's huge! She has a dog agility set as well as lots of toys to play with....
Elsie is a rescue dog. She is fantastic with people but is not confident around other dogs. Because of this we only want our dog sitter to exercise her within the garden. We are in the process of working with a behaviorist to improve her experience of walking outside. Meanwhile it's important that she is not walked outside of our garden without supervision from our behaviorist.
So we hope you can enjoy a week of cuddling and playing in our garden with her as she just loves human company! We hope in the future that we can allow other people to walk her too. She is a delight around the house and garden - a little angel and very easy to look after. She's quite a character and will make you laugh and smile every day.
We are looking for somebody with enhanced verification level on Trusted Housesitters. We also need a sitter who has police checks in place please. + More info
Our Home & Location
We live in a semi-rural location. We have a lovely house, on the clifftops in Peacehaven. Our house and garden overlook the sea. There are lots of birds and other wildlife here and it really is a lovely retreat with all home comforts. We have lots of books, broadband and wireless internet, TV with loads of movies, games etc. It's a very comfortable house with amazing panoramic views across the English Channel and the South Downs national park.
We are on a good bus route from Brighton to Eastbourne that runs every 10 minutes during the day. The nearest shop is about half a mile away. We are a 5 minute walk from the clifftops and lovely rural walks along the South Downs and Clifftop way. It's a great place to be in nature but still be close to the City of Brighton.
Responsibilities & Pets
We’d love you to play with Elsie in our garden. Feed and water her twice a day. Fill our bird feeders once a day. Cuddle Elsie lots and give her a few treats. She loves watching movies on the sofa, cuddled up with you!
Elsie loves to have company so we ask that she is not left on her own too often. We usually only leave her alone 2 or 3 times per week. We never leave her for more than 4 hours during the day and never leave her alone at all after dark. We'd kindly ask that you maintain this while we are away.
