Reliable animal lover
We live in lovely rural Robertsbridge, East Sussex. We are animal mad and have 2 siamese cats, 1 tortie cat, 1 cockapoo (hyper active!) and one cavachon (loves nothing more than a cuddle), as well as a bearded dragon and a tropical fish tank.
The siamese boys are very affectionate and get very unsettled when left alone for a long period of time hence we'd like someone who could 'live in'.
The dogs do have a sitter so could go to her if the above is a bit much, but they are very sweet, Lilly is hyper and can be nervous but she's very happy in her own home and only needs a short walk each day - she loves playing with her ball in the garden. Paddy loves company and a cuddle and enjoys a walk and some chicken. They are ok being left for short periods of time but not for long.
Our house is a lovely 3 bed cottage, overlooking the hills and farmland beyond. We're just 4 minutes walk from the train station, and there are lots of lovely walks around if the weather holds. We lost a dog on the road so i prefer not to let the dogs off the lead too often if walking anywhere near a road (although they do come back when called to me i'm not sure how they do with others) and they do pull on the lead in excitment when you set off but they calm down - probably best for a slightly more experienced dog handler.
We have sky TV (with full sports package) and everything else you could need :)
Our Home & Location
In the countryside, lots of woods and walks nearby. 20 minutes from hastings and the beach. Two pubs in the village, but not much else around! Only a few minute's walk from the train station. I don't have any photo's of the interior of the house but we have a new kitchen, big fridge, sitting room, dining room, 2 double bedrooms (one with shower), 1 single study/bedroom, upstairs family bathroom and a downstairs WC. We have a gardener so nothing to do outside but a nice sized garden with a patio up top with seating and a larger lawn area with a pond down to the fence at the end looking out over farmland. Out the front there is a steep driveway for 1 car, or two can be parked on the verge in front of the house just off the road.
Responsibilities & Pets
Feeding the tortie cat wet food, ensuring biscuits in the feeder for the siamese - and giving them lots of attention when they're in. Feeding fish daily and bearded dragon daily. If possible, we'd leave the dogs with you too - they need walking every other day minimum and lots of love and affection. If not, they can go to their day-time carer.
