Our Home & Location
Our 3 bedroomed home was built in 1911 and is located in the quiet conservation area of Hartsholme. There is a lounge, dining kitchen, conservatory, study, the stairs lead to three bedrooms and a shower room.
Hartsholme Drive is tree lined and full of character. There are local shops just up the road and bus stops opposite the shops where there are regular buses into the City....
Hartsholme Country Park is just across the main road and there are miles of beautiful paths and tracks to walk and explore. Behind the house there is a track and a playing field and access to more walks by the river.
Lincoln City is full of Historic buildings, the Cathedral, the Castle, Art Galleries and Museums. The High street is busy and there are plenty of good quality shops, cafes, pubs, wine bars and restaurants. The Odeon cinema has about 9 screens and shows all the latest movies. The Theatre Royal has a full calendar of shows and events all year round, as does the Drill Hall and LPAC on the University Campus. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Dogs; Amber and Bertie are both rescue dogs. Bertie the Pug is from Cyprus and had problems with his knees on both back legs, because of this he can't walk for miles. He is happy let off the lead, especially in the playing field behind the house as he loves to sniff the goal posts! He also has some trouble with his breathing but copes well. He sleeps a lot!
Amber is from Romania and at the time of writing this she is not let off the lead. She has a long retractable lead, she is good on the lead and will walk for miles. She loves people and other dogs but has a fear of large dogs especially German Shepherds. She will avoid them. She loves to play and needs the exercise. She also doesn't like bikes and cars. An X-ray shows that she was perhaps knocked down and the back leg was broken and healed itself, she limps occasionally....
We walk the dogs twice a day and often separately as Amber needs longer walks that Bertie can't cope with.
They get breakfast at 8am, a few treats at lunch time and evening meal at 6.30pm. They both have one "you move" tablet a day with food. They are good at going to bed, are good when left and love their toys.
Hens; They get fed and clean water every morning, eggs collected and cleaned out every day. This way cleaning the sleep area takes a couple of minutes and keeps the hens clean.
We don't expect the garden to be done but the sitter will need to clean up the dog poo often. But they both tend to sort this on their walks and the garden gets saved from that!!
Keep the house as clean and tidy as necessary. + More info
