Two ladradoodles & 3 chickens in The Cotswolds
We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children aged 6 and 9. We have 2 young labradoodles, 3 chickens and some tropical fish. We often go away for weekends in addition to longer breaks and would prefer our pets to stay at home where they’ll be happy.
Our Home & Location
We live in a small village at the foot of the Cotswold Way, in between Bristol and Cheltenham, within easy reach of the M5. There is a friendly village pub a very short walk away that serves food. The house is 4 bedroom Cotswold cottage (there will be 3 available to use - one ensuite), we have a summer house with a pool table and darts board in the garden, garden games and a large paddling pool in the summer, there is a railway line at the bottom of the garden and at the front there is a pretty brook running through (sometimes you can spot water voles).
We live 2 minuets drive from Junction 12 of the M5 and 20 mins from Bristol/Cheltenham, 10 from Gloucester and an hour from Oxford/Birmingham/Stratford Upon Avon. The nearest rail station is Stonehouse or Gloucester at around 10 minute drive where you can connect to London in 90 minutes....
Our village is on the Cotswold Way and the Haresfield Beacon is at the top of the hill. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
We have 2 young labradoodles, one is still a puppy and they are sisters, very friendly and placid. The puppy is still on short walks and the older one will need at least 30-40 mins a day, either in one big walk or 2 shorter ones if it’s hot. They are both good on the lead and can be let off in a field or woods. The chickens just need food, water and eggs collecting every day and the fish fed twice a day.
