Comfortable home and garden in South West London
I am a British woman living in my own beautiful house in South West London with my precious miniature daxi, Bumi, and I am looking for someone to care for her and the house from 18th December 2018 until 10th January 2019. Ideally you would be a mature lady or couple with excellent references that I can check.
Our Home & Location
Tooting is a diverse and interesting part of South-West London. It is home to people of many faiths and cultures, which is reflected in the variety of shops, restaurants and places of worship.
According to a report in the Evening Standard, Tooting is fast becoming one of London's hippest districts.. "It has been dubbed the new Shoreditch," adding "After years out of the spotlight for SW17, the balance is shifting across the river - and Tooting is absolutely rooting. There's great swathes of park and plenty of places to drink, dance and dine." The paper highlights its buzzing bars, restaurants, its burgeoning arts scene; its market and its much loved open air pool the Tooting Bec Lido - Europe's largest open air freshwater pool....
Our house is in a fashionable street in Tooting containing large comfortable town-houses, which is very popular with professional families. There's a local grocery store, dry cleaners, chemist and newsagent. For medical emergencies, St. George's Hospital is a 10 minute taxi journey.
Getting to and from Tooting is easy. It's a 7-10 minute walk to Tooting Bec underground station and journey times are approximately 30 minutes into Central London.
It is a 5 minute walk to the bus stop (with direct buses to Sloane Square and Clapham) which have excellent links to the rest of London.
It is a three bedroomed house and you will have a double room with a bathroom with a shower and bath. There's Sky TV, wifi and the 4G signal is good. A well equipped kitchen and a wood burning stove in the sitting room. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Your primary responsibility will be for Bumi, who is a miniature wire-haired Dachshund, with a huge character. She's walked once or twice a day for approximately an hour in the local park (Tooting Common) on the lead. Always carry a poo bag! I would request that you don't leave her alone for more than two or three hours at the most. Don't think you will be able to sit back and relax for the rest of the time as she likes to play! Bumi is fed twice a day and I will give you full instructions on how that is done, together with telephone number for vets etc.
Also, I would be grateful if you could water any pot plants.
