I'm Moira and my husband Alan is working in SE Asia which means he is away a lot of the time. I would like to be able to visit him. Our dog Hamish is used to travelling to Europe and our home in France but obviously Vietnam and Cambodia are out of the question. I am therefore seeking a Sitter(s) who might take on Hamish in our home in the South Downs National Park so that I can take occasional trips to be with Alan.
Our Home & Location
Old Idsworth is a semi detached recently renovated farm cottage; it is one of four cottages that form part of the small hamlet of Old Idsworth. The cottages look out onto open farmland with stunning views. The hamlet is close to the village of Finchdean which has a good pub. Rowland's Castle is a 5 minute drive away offering shops and amenities plus a mainline rail link - Waterloo Portsmouth. Petersfield is a 15 minute drive.
The house has two bedrooms and a study upstairs and a large modern kitchen and separate sitting room downstairs. The bathroom, utility and shower room are downstairs. The house has full central heating (oil) plus a wood burning stove in the kitchen area and an open fire in the sitting room. The house has two large enclosed garden areas which protect the dog from the minor road leading to the property which is accessed via a private road and has a gated parking area with space for 4 cars.
Responsibilities & Pets
Care of Hamish: Food, walks and lots of cuddles ( he is allowed on the sofa!). Grass cutting and garden maintenance is not required as we have help every two weeks.
