We live in the rural area of Platts Heath between Maidstone and Ashford. We moved here in July 2017, to be nearer our daughter living in nearby Lenham. Presently, in our 50’s we are still working. Gillian as a registered nurse and Malcolm in London as a draughtsman.
We have loved moving to the countryside and with Malcolm’s hobby of photography and painting it gives him plenty scope and inspiration on our many walks....
We are first time users of trusted house sitters and need someone who is willing to manage a large breed, loveable dog.
We often pop to Devon to visit our son and new grandson and aim to have at least 2 weeks away abroad. + More info
Our Home & Location
Being near the M20 allows easy access to many attractions in Kent, together with the many small villages and hamlets nearby. A car is necessary, required for the short drive to Lenham for local shops and pubs. We are within easy reach of a number of restaurants and pubs, as well as an endless number walks. Including the North Downs pilgrims way.
We live in the hamlet of Platts Heath, in a bungalow with a reasonable size garden and plenty space to park a car....
Nearby is Leeds castle, which has various events throughout the year, but is always good to just visit. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Apart from generally looking after our home, the main responsibility is to ensure Molly has at least one run in the field opposite the house, with perhaps a walk around the hamlet, we live in.
During summer months, we’d like just general care and possibly watering of the garden....
We have quite a selection of wild birds in Platts Heath and we are gradually building up a feeding station to attract them to the garden, so ensuring seed etc are in the feeders would be great.
An information pack will be available with information on things such as; bin collection, local attractions and use of various appliances in the home. + More info
