House, dogs and cat sitter needed
We are a young family of four, with two dogs and a cat. Our house is small and cosy, in Aylesford, Kent.
Our Home & Location
Our house is a three bedroom, end of terrace house. We have a shared garden with our neighbour. We are friends with many of our neighbours, who you can ask if you need help with anything. We have wifi, a landline and a television. We also have a nest smart thermometer. There is one bathroom downstairs, with an open plan living and dining room. We have central heating and double glazed windows. We live on the outskirts of Aylesford, a beautiful village in Kent. There are lots of nice walks around us, including a footpath along the river that goes all the way down to East Farleigh. There is the Malta Inn Beefeater about five minutes in the car or 20 minutes along the footpath from our house. The village centre is about a 10 minute walk from our house, where there are pubs, a couple of nice restaurants and the church. We are a 10 minute drive into Maidstone and there is a bus that goes into Maidstone just outside our house. There is a big Sainsbury's on the Quarry Wood Estate, about 10 minutes in the car and also an Aldi.
Responsibilities & Pets
We have two dogs, Rocket and Luna, and a cat Toulouse. Rocket and Luna are jack russell cross doggies. They are brother and sister and love to cuddle, each other and humans they like. We rescued them as puppies so they can be a bit sensitive at times, but if they trust you, they'll love you with all their hearts. I cook their meals every day. Porridge and a mashed banana for breakfast and meat, veg and either porridge, rice, pasta or sweet potato for dinner. They sleep together in a cage at night and are put in the cage if left alone at home - Luna likes to chew. They can be left for a few hours, but not more than 4 at a time. They don't go upstairs, although sometimes they'll run up to say hi, they're not fond of climbing the stairs. I walk them 4 times a week. Usually onto the rec or along the footpath. On the weekends we take them for longer walks as a family. Walkies are one of their favourite things. When you get their harnesses out, the go crazy and bark out of excitement. They love making friends with other dogs but will run towards other dogs if they see them. I usually let them off their leads if there aren't many people and dogs on the rec. Toulouse is much easier to look after. He is an indoor cat, although he goes outside when the backdoor is open, he'll come straight back in again. He is fed twice a day with purina one dry food. His bowl in high up on the kitchen window ledge as the dogs eat his food. He has a litter tray under the sink. I scoop his poop into a poo bag and change his litter once a week. He sleeps upstairs on our beds. His most cuddly time is at night when we're in bed. He's a very beautiful boy, but don't be deceived by his handsome face. He can be quite grumpy and doesn't like other children - he loves our children but hisses and growls at other children. He loves the dogs and when they play, sometimes Toulouse likes to join in. It's very entertaining to watch.
Our house is very low maintenance. We have a small garden with a small bit of grass and decking.
