I live in a lovely 400 year old cottage (which I am slowly renovating) within walking distance from Leeds Castle Kent and close to Maidstone. I have lots of dogs (and look after other peoples dogs too as a boarder) as I have plenty of room and no neighbours. The garden is enclosed and there is a field at the back which the farmer lets me walk in too. The setting is rural but I am located on a main road so travel is easy.
What I need is help when I want to go somewhere myself - which isn't very often because having several dogs, and other animals too, turns going anywhere into a bit of a mission. All my dogs are very friendly and I also have a mini pony who deals with my lawn maintenance for me. Chickens and ducks for eggs, and a ferret called Wilf who is soppy. Oh and a few fish....
The house is work in progress so between my DIY projects and dogs it's not immaculate and has a lot of wildlife - both indoors and out. By which I mean spiders. And other bugs. The front door and ceilings are very low too just in case you are still considering the idea and are tall. I feel it's only fair to warn you but if you enjoy a challenge then I would love to hear from you. + More info
Our Home & Location
The cottage is a 400 year old listed property and very close to Leeds Castle Maidstone Kent. There are several good pubs close by and it is nearly opposite a large hotel. It is on the main road and right next to the M20 motorway so getting anyway is great. There is a train station in the village (about a mile away.)
Responsibilities & Pets
Basically feeding and watering and clearing up after everybody and a bit of love and attention and company. The garden is big and there is a field at the back which can be used when the cows aren't in there so I don't expect my dogs to be taken out for walkies as there are 5 of them - unless you want to of course! I take them up to the Woodland Trust at Hucking which is about 15mins drive away and lovely - but this is optional.
