Andy and I are at the beginning of establishing our smallholding, the 2018 has been spent updateing the property and structuring the land. We have planted 150 trees put in fencing and generally tidied up. The next stage is to develop the vegetable garden and workshop.
We enjoy cycling, golf, travelling and creative projects....
In 2015 we became house sitters for a year having sold our cottage ready for the move, we loved the experience and feel that our location and home could offer an enjoyable experience for anyone who would like to sit for Ash ( Sprocker) and Frizzle & Flaps ( Bantums ). + More info
Our Home & Location
We live in a bungalow that we have modernised and furnished in a contemporary style. The views are stunning, looking out towards the Marsland valley and sea beyond. We have 5 acres which Ash is quite happy to walk around should you not feel like venturing out for the day.
The Old Smithy Pub is 1.7miles along the lane and we are 3.7 miles from Welcombe mouth....
Clovelly, Harland Point, Bude and Tamar Lakes are all within 10 miles. Private transport would be essential as busses are few and far between.
There is a local community shop 0.5 miles along the lane that has a good stock including a deli fridge, local meat, groceries and wines etc. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Ash is a Sprocker, he’s got lots of energy but we have plenty of space here for him run. He loves a car trip and will quite happily trot along beside you when out and about. We do not allow him in the house, he has his own area attached to our open plan living area, which is a conservatory and he can let himself in and out via the dog flap.
The chickens need minimal care, the pop hole is automatic but the food would need topping up and the house would need the droppings removed every other day.
