Want to look after a beautiful cat in a light modern house with walled garden an easy train ride from London?
Are you a kind and tidy non-smoker who would like to look after my beautiful and gentle 4 year old rescue cat, Suki?
My home is a wonderful modern light-filled South West facing 4 bedroom detached home in a large village with amenities, just 15 minutes from Milton Keynes and the fast train (35 minutes) to London....
My home is an uplifting place to be, with wonderful birdlife in the garden (Suki is not a great hunter!), views as far as the horizon of open fields and a huge sky.
I do ask that you do not have any guests to visit or stay in my home without my prior permission.
I am vegetarian and ask sitters not to cook raw meats and fish in my kitchen, whilst you are here please. + More info
Our Home & Location
Located in the village of Hanslope just 15 minutes drive, or a bus ride (one every hour) from Milton Keynes. The village is also just 10 minutes from the Historic Market town of Stony Stratford, or minutes from Wolverton with a large Tesco, library, canal, lots of shops and restaurants.
Both Wolverton and Milton Keynes have several direct trains to London every hour and take between 30 and 55 mins depending on the train you choose). My home is a wonderful warm modern four bedroom home facing South West which means the light floods in. It has been designed for indoor-outdoor living when the weather is nice....
You would have your own guest double room with views of the fields to the South West and your own bathroom which is not ensuite but is a family bathroom dedicated to the guest bedroom.
There is ample parking in the driveway for your car.
Lovely neighbours, views and easy location.
Nearby places of interest include Woburn Abbey, Silverstone and Bletchley Park, Milton Keynes Arts Centre and the Milton Keynes Centre with Ski dome, indoor flying, bowling, theatre, cinema great shopping and more, Stoke Bruerne and the great network of canals within walking distance, and of course London!
Whilst a car is not essential, due to regular bus service to Northampton and Milton Keynes and all essential amenities in the village such as Spar supermarket, village butcher who sells fresh vegetables and fruit, village newsagent, Chinese takeaway, two village pubs and an active Village Hall with drop in exercise classes and regular events for all, a car would be useful for exploring etc. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Suki is a very easy cat to look after - two feeds a day, a daily scooping out of her litter tray and granule top up as needed (she is very clean with dry small stools) and a weekly total empty, wash and refresh granules of her litter tray.
Suki loves company on her terms, so being around the house some of the day and sleeping in the house at night. The more time you spend in the house the better for Suki, but she is totally fine if you want to go off and sightsee for the day in London, or explore Milton Keynes, or nearby sites....
Suki is still a little shy and sensitive (I assume a result of many months or maybe longer living in a cage before I rescued her), but she is very affectionate in nature and loves people around her. She loves to sit on your lap, but is scared of hands coming towards her and she won't let you pick her up. Please never try to pick her up. She comes to you for affection - she loves to jump on your knee and curl up purring and she asks for cheek rub strokes and kind stroking.
But also please give her all the love she asks for, but let her come to you!
She will reward you with the cutest looks, the softest strokes, fabulous purring and the funniest little mannerisms! + More info
