Looking after 3 sweet rescue dogs in beautiful Berkshire
We have three lovely (and a little crazy!) rescue dogs from Romania. One male, two female, all medium-sized. They are best of friends and love playing together, especially on the nearby fields and along the canal. They also enjoy a good cuddle and snooze on the couch with each other and their human family. Since they are rescue dogs, they do have some special needs. Trixie and Nandi (Nunu), the two females, can be a little nervous of strangers, particularly men. Trixie is quite highly strung and often seeks refuge in her crate when there are lots of people around. Temba is very laid back and sociable with everyone, but has a bit of small dog syndrome- getting a bit cheeky with bigger dogs sometimes. He loves cuddles and food and going in the car. Nandi (Nunu) has only been with us a little while and is still adjusting to life in a home. She is very wary of strangers but so snuggly when she gets to know you. All 3 love their walks and there are lots of places to take them off lead.
Our Home & Location
We are in a quiet cul de sac in the centre of the old part of Thatcham town, with St. Mary's church at the end of the close. We are a 5 minute walk to the broadway with various shops and pubs. We are also a 5 minute walk to the bus stop - regular buses to Newbury and Reading. Train station is about 15 minutes walk. Also 15 minutes to the lakes and canal, close to Greenham common and other local attractions. Plenty of parking on our drive if you have your own car.
Responsibilities & Pets
I'm looking for somebody who will keep the dogs company, look after them, give them a lot of fuss and take them on lovely walks. Also perhaps feed the birds and water the plants if possible. I work from home so the dogs are used to having someone around most of the day. They can be left for short periods.
