Pet sitters welcome
We are a family of 5 with 2 dogs and 2 cats. All our animals are rescues from Spain but they are all adorable, very friendly and without issues. We are looking for a trustworthy couple who are used to big dogs and who have an estate car as the good walks are a drive away. It is important that you are very hands on and fit as these dogs need to be exercised! In return you will have the use of our lovely home and large garden. This will free us up to travel a bit with our children in the holidays. We haven't done this for years now because of the animals.
Our Home & Location
We have a lovely 4 bedroom Georgian farm house. We will allow access to our daughters double bedroom which has the view of our garden. We have a large kitchen, sitting room and dinning/study. There is a shower room and a bathroom each with a toilet. We have Wifi throughout the house and a flatscreen tv with netflix.
There is a bus stop 2 mins walk away which takes you into central Reading in 30 mins or to drive to the Oracle centre is 15 minutes. We are half an our from Heathrow airport and 1hr 15 from Gatwick, 50 mins to Southampton. Winchester is a lovely town and is also 50 minutes away. The Lexicon shopping centre is 20 minutes away. This is a brand new shopping village which has most high street stores....
For safe dog walks which are fenced there is Rooks nest is 10 minutes, Langley meade in Shinfield is 5 minutes drive. Simons wood near Finchampstead is 12 minutes and the Finchampstead lakes are a similar distance. Also we live on a private estate so there is access to walks behind the house but the dogs must be on leads for half of the time. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
We will require the dogs to be let out in the garden first thing in the morning. Then we feed them around 8 am. After they need to be walked for at least half an hour/ 45 minutes, normally after breakfast but it is important they get out in the morning. At midday they get a bonio and around 5/5.30pm they get fed their tea. At some point between 4pm and 9pm they need another small walk even on the estate just to stretch their legs. The cats do their own thing but they wait to be fed in the morning and in the evening. Fresh water and food must be topped up each day.
