Kintbury, West Berkshire
My husband and I live with our two dogs (Bella 12, Tinka 1) in West Berkshire. We go away a few times each year, and normally leave the dogs with trusted carers. Our neighbour told us about trustedhousesitters so we thought we'd give it a try.
Our Home & Location
Kintbury is a lovely village, with nice walks along the canal or up on Combe Gibbet, an escarpment a few miles drive away. The village has a corner shop, a butcher, a bakery, 3 pubs, a train station serving Newbury, Reading and Paddington (1 hour away). The house is quite large, with plenty of sleeping quarters, and modernised to a high standard.
Responsibilities & Pets
We normally take the dogs out 7-7.30am in the morning for a walk for their morning ablutions. Doggie bins are available in the village in 2 distinct places. I normally do a long walk with them either late morning or early afternoon, and we take them out last thing at 10pm for a spin round the nearby allotment. They play in the garden if the back doors are left open, or rest in the house. We feed them after ablutions in the a.m. and again at 4pm in the afternoon.
