House Sit in village by sea on Isle of Wight for couple or single with use of own car
I live in a coastal village on the beautiful Isle of Wight.I used to work as a community worker but am now retired.I like gardening and I am a member of a Baptist church.Sadly I am an empty nest as my children have grown up and left home which is why I need a house sitter.I own a home which is a restored barn and it is 10 minute walk to a sandy beach owned by the National Trust. It is in an area of outstanding natural beauty.I know nearly all the people in my village and I have a warm and friendly personality. Our Home & Location
The Old Rectory Coachhouse is in the grounds of the Old Rectory where the rest of my family live when visiting. The house is a grade 2 listed barn with exposed beams and an open fireplace with a stone hearth which is in working order in the living room. The whole buiding is on 1 floor.
It is a very spacious building, the kitchen has a gas hob electric oven dishwasher washing machine and a tall fridge freezer....
There is a beautiful conservatory.
The whole house has gas central heating.
There is a full bathroom with shower bath and wash basin and a separate room which has a another toilet and washbasin. The house would suit a single house sitter or a couple. It has 2 bedrooms 1 with twin beds and 1 with a double bed.
The garden has furniture and has a lawn and a border.
There is a barbecue area too.
The Coachhouse won a conservation award in 1993.
Brook is a very small village with a village green village hall telephone box and church. It is secluded so would favour a sitter with use of their own car.
There is a bus service to the nearest town Newport, but the bus timetable is very limited. There is a country pub within walking distance.
All in all Brook is an idyllic 'twixt the downs(hills) and The English Channel. + More info
