Little Zoo looking for happy house sitter
We have rather a large animal population. Our own land that we have 2 horses which a friend looks after. 6 geese 2 hens which my neighbour sees to. That leaves 3 dogs, 1 rabbit, 2 parrots and 3 tropical fish. Our dogs have never been in kennels as we like them to stay in their own home where they are happiest. 2 of them are bullmastiffs one is 5 years old and the other is 20 months old. In charge of all this is the jack russell. Shes 11. There is a friend and neighbour that sees to the chickens and geese. She can also help with walking of the dogs if a single sitter wanted to sit for us.
Our Home & Location
We live in a 5 bedroom bungalow. Set in its own grounds in a rural village. A car is necessary as the bus route is not good. No shop in village but nearest supermarkets about 2 miles. Local pub within walking distance serves really good food. we are roughly 4 miles from sandown beach and shanklin beach.
Responsibilities & Pets
Feeding of animals, dogs are walked on our own land. They are walked on their leads not only because they suffer from selective hearing but they chase the rabbits that live in abundance ! General companionship for the dogs. All are extremely friendly dogs, they love companionship the mastiffs are a lazy pair. Well the puppy is only 20 months old and is learning not to be so boisterous! she is also still learning the finer points of life!! They are not big on walking .only the jack russell loves her walks. All 3 of them stay on the lead at all times when walking. Being big dogs it is safer to keep them on a lead and being a jack russel she will disappear down a rabbit hole or just run and run after a rabbit. Safer all round if they are lead walked.ideally it needs a couple to sit as it is not possible for one person to walk 3 dogs!!
